Come and stay with us at the newly built Casa Delfin Sonriente (House of the Smiling Dolphin) on the Pacific Mexico coast near the small village of Troncones, fifteen miles from the resorts of Ixtapa and Zihuatanejo.

Sparkling beaches and lagoons are home to sea turtles and exotic birds. Guests enjoy snorkeling, diving, fishing, and surfing (we have great surfing here year round). The jungle-covered hills provide hiking and cave exploration, horseback riding, and challenging bike trails.

Welcome to Troncones, Mexico

Just fifteen miles from the luxurious resorts of Ixtapa and the yachters' paradise of Zihuatanejo, the quiet village of Troncones feels like a different era.

The village is home to about 250 people who farm and fish, as well as a sprinkling of foreigners who have come to Troncones and found the tranquil beauty impossible to leave.

Occasional fiestas, weddings, and other gatherings provide visitors with the feel of this small Mexican village.

Getting Here

Flights arrive daily at Ixtapa/Zihuatanejo International Airport. Car rentals can be made in advance or at the airport, or we can arrange for taxis to pick you up. The trip from the airport takes about forty-five minutes. You can also view and print a detailed map of how to get here!
